10-minute 3D video mapping for the winter show 2014-2015 "Tiempo de Fuego" at Phantasialand.
16 high-performance projectors, 8 HD videos, fully 3D animated and mapped to the extremely complex surface with centimeter precision
Special challenges:
- continuous animation behind the bell tower without shadows cast
- Viewers stand not (only) frontally, but on all sides in front of the projection surface
- no architectural plans from the surface available (3D scan necessary)
- Projection on tower sideways at very flat angle
- Different levels of sharpness
- Partially dark and matte surfaces
